Native American Museum

History came to life when Grade 3 students opened the doors to their Native American Expo. Six North American Native tribes were represented by the class. Students researched their assigned tribe and did a self-study as they collected facts. After reading, they summarized the information in their own words and wrote “text boxes” for the museum displays. The real fun started when students created their own models of homes, clothing, food, tools, etc.! Dressed in face paint and colorful garments, students then welcomed visitors and shared details about their tribe. The student’s hard work paid off. Through their self-discipline, our virtue in March, they were able to present a five-star museum!
