2013 Mid-autumn Day Celebration

If you have a mixed feeling for moon cakes, take a second thought, because home-made moon cakes really taste great especially if they are made by your kids. In order to celebrate the Mid-autumn Day, from September 16th to 18th,2013, Chinese Department held a Moon-cake Making activity in the cafeteria as well as a Riddle Guessing game on campus. Students from K-8 as well as elective Chinese from Grade 9-12 had the opportunity to make the traditional food in its new style—snowy moon cakes. Students made the moon cakes by themselves and enjoyed both the process and the products. Yummy! Through these activities the students learnt more about Mid-autumn Day and its tradition.
