Johnny was a superb goalkeeper for the COMETS. He could always be depended on as the last line of defence. Being very brave and reliable, he produced some brilliant saves to save the COMETS on a number of occasions.
Seung Hoo occupied a key, central position in the defence. He was fast, strong in the tackle and difficult for attackers to beat. In possession of the ball he was very composed and accurate with his passing. Whilst being assertive, he always played fairly and was very courteous to team-mates, opponents and coaches.
Nathan always played with purpose for the COMETS. He was a very thoughtful member of the team both on and off the field, and always had the good of the team uppermost in his mind. He was very important to the squad because he showed flexibility, willing to play right or left back in defence, but would also be able to play goalkeeper.
Steven always gave sound performances for the COMETS. He displayed good anticipation of the ball and very good control. He didn’t allow himself to be hurried into making mistakes. A good member of the squad because he is a very considerate person.
Saul perhaps showed the most improvement in his soccer skills over the season. He worked hard, got better as the season progressed, and contributed some great performances for the COMETS. His good humor and strong commitment were the great qualities he brought to the team.
Eric would run his heart out for the COMETS. He was strong in defence, and fast in chasing down opponents. His determined spirit epitomized the passion of the team when they were playing their best.
Stephen after starting the season on the right wing found his best position as the holding midfielder playing between defence and attack. Here he had more responsibility in the ‘engine room’ of the team. Displaying great energy and work-rate he was very successful in this key position and really helped the team tick.
Eddie as the youngest member of the team gained valuable experience playing with the U14’s in attack. He already has good skills and a very confident and enthusiastic spirit, which was reflected in his play.
Tony was a very considerate member of the COMETS squad. This quality was evident both on and off the field of play. He was the most serious in practice and was most often the first to help in the clear-up following practice sessions. He carried this very mature attitude into his games for the team, always giving his upmost. His great efforts were rewarded with some important goals.
Kyeong Chan proved to be a great creative striker for the COMETS. Possessing superb skill and energy plus tremendous resilience, he scored some significant goals for the team, but always retained a very humble attitude.
Jae Won, besides his flexibility and reliability, was a skilled footballer, good with his feet and his head. During the season he played very good games for the team, both in defence and attack. As a sportsman, he always showed great courtesy.
