Learning new vocabulary words has never been so much fun.
Students at TEDA International School were tasked with choosing a word they learned at school. To show off their new knowledge, some 100 students dressed up as their word and marched through the school track and field during the Annual Vocabulary Parade.
The parade was based from the book “Miss Alaineus, A Vocabulary Disaster” by Debra Frasier which was read to the kids during library class.
“The students were really secretive about it and really put some thought into it,” one homeroom teacher said.
Parents, family and friends gathered on the school field and in the center of it as the parade of Kinder to Grade 5 marched around them. Students from the Leadership Club stopped for a second, spoke into the microphone and said the chosen words of their classmates.
