Outdoor Play for ECA

Outdoor play is enjoyable for children and important for their growth and development. It helps children develop gross motor skills through climbing, swinging, jumping, etc. Outdoor play encourages children to develop and co-ordinate hand/eye movements through catching and throwing. Children also have a better understanding of spatial awareness through climbing up, down, over or under obstacles. Being outside enables children to develop their social skills by participating in social play with other children. Outside play gives children the opportunity to stretch their muscles and enjoy the freedom of space, a welcome break from being inside.
