Role play is an important part of a child’s development as it builds confidence, creative communication, physical development and problem solving skills. Doctors, builders, police and shopkeeper roles allow children to get into character and act out real life roles. Role play is a great way to encourage empathy between children and increases a child’s ability to interact positively with others. It encourages children to take risks and be creative with the role they are playing. Role-play is also a fun way for little ones to learn about different professions and day-to-day situations effectively disguising learning as play!
