TIS National Honor Society wins ACAMIS Service Learning Grant.

National Honor Society, the organization that recognizes outstanding high school students, received TIS’s first grant from ACAMIS, a worth of $1,000 USD after multiple attempts in the past few years.

ACAMIS (Association of China and Mongolia International Schools) Service Learning Grants have been established to provide financial support for student initiatives in service learning in the ACAMIS host countries, China and Mongolia. NHS has applied in hopes of receiving the Grant to support building libraries in disadvantaged schools in Qinghai.

Currently, there are ten primary schools in Qinghai that require supplies to build their libraries, to which Primary Service Club has already contributed to the construction of three. NHS will use the ACAMIS grant to contribute a fourth library that will establish a learning environment to lead the children towards a brighter future.
